light and unwanted sounds. gives a sky or tent-like effect.

“LOST”
Mandy David
MA Media Arts
2005
I started off wanting to shoot footage within
Manchester's surrounding parks and areas, and as I became more experimental with
my camerawork,
the filming developed as more of an exploration of the textures and sounds of
nature. These explorations had me forgetting about the world just outside
my frame and getting lost within myself and my work.
My original intentions were to create a
relaxing and transporting piece of work, though the outcome is revealing itself
to have much darker tones.
It is for this reason that I have chosen the title "Lost".
Being lost can be both enchanting and
frightening at the same time. I try my best to recapture those feelings in the
editing suite, but nature is always
best when encountered one-on-one. I have purposely stayed local for my shoots
and recommend the following parks for losing yourself :

Longford Park, Chorlton

Trafford Ecology Centre,
Trafford Park
